		<description>Interesting!
CommentLuv helps you reward your commentators by separating their name from their keywords in the link to their site. This gives them improved anchor text, which can help their site rank higher in the search engine results.
You can now leave a comment with your name as well as a keyword of your choice here and get a PR5 link back to your site! How cool is that? People pay big bucks for that and all you have to do is comment here.

<description>I haven't added the CommentLuv plugin yet, however I have allowed my commentators' names to be followed for some time now without too much hassle from spammers. Akismet does a great job of catching the majority of spam, so allowing comments to follow is my way of showing my appreciation for taking the time to read my post and to share opinions (which is also why I'll be adding the CommentLuv plugin soon).

<description>Commentluv is a great plugin, never heard of a negative comment about it till today.

Although i have nofollow in my blog, i think commentluv helps in some amount of traffic too :)

<description>CommentLuv is a great plugin - I run several blogs/maintain websites myself like http://www.virtual-coach.com and http://www.askowlbert.com and have found it invaluable.

Comment Relish, alas, I uninstalled, because received email was obviously identifiable as auto-generated and not personal.

http://www.timnash.co.uk/comment-prompt/ is another wordpress plugin to encourage comments - I have something similar installed on my vbulletin.

Enjoy,

<description>Jamie - I think it is a good idea to manually approve all 1st time visitors comments. After that you can leave it to spam filters and comment review.</description>

<description>I'd like to pass out link love to commenters as well, but...

What sort of extra 'filters' (if that's the right word for it) do you have to use to protect yourself once the spambots realize you are a 'follow' rather than a 'no follw' blog.

Oh, and by the way, I want to keep all comments on my blog immediately published without my approval, becuase it really does help the conversation keep going. (That plus I'm too darn busy to uber-monitor it.)
