This is the first edition of what l plan to be a regular weekly posting. The Sunday Coffee Cup has a few personal thoughts about the week followed by a some highlights that I think are worth sharing. I welcome your feedback.

Today it felt like spring. I am really looking forward to the coming warming days and time spent out doors with my family. Far too often we get overly wrapped up in our work or worries of the day. This week I set a personal goal for myself to get out and run 3 times this week. I not only feel energized but the time spent running allowed me time to think and release some tension. Sometimes you just have to say work can wait until tomorrow and do something for yourself today (especially on a Sunday).

Worth Repeating:

New Jersey State Park Closings
This story got my attention today. The Associated Press reported that “Nine state parks may close under budget ax” part of cost-cutting measures forced by Gov. Jon S. Corzine’s austere budget. 80 park workers would also face lay-offs as part of the cost cutting measure.

Blog of the Week:

Abundance Highway
This week Suzie posted about “Taking The Abundance Highway To New Heights” and was she ever right. Suzie contemplated how she was going to achieve her goal. It makes it a bit easier if Problogger Darren Rowse mentions your blog post in one of his own! Was it a case of a self-fulfilling prophecy? Best wishes Suzie your the blog of the week!

Coffee Break:

Pop Life Art
Developed with an interest in what in what the author calls, “Pop Culture Art”. “That is, artwork done by celebrities (actors, singers, musicians, etc), artwork in which celebrities and athletes are the primary subjects, and other entertainment related art and collectibles.” The website to be a one-stop resource for information about celebrity art and artists, entertainment art and memorabilia.

Inspirational Quote:

“The ability to concentrate and to use your time well is everything if you want to succeed in business–or almost anywhere else for that matter.” - Lee Iacocca
