The local Monmouth County Score Chapter is offering the following free seminar:
“Buying a Business or Franchise”
Description: Areas to be covered include: what are good businesses to own, how to find them, how to value and price a business, what to avoid in your search, how to conduct a due diligence investigation including verification of financial results in a cash business, and how to structure a buy/sell agreement. The seminar will also cover the pros and cons of buying a franchise rather than a stand alone business and the pitfalls to avoid in pursuing this alternative. Presenters will be: Joe Wasilewski, a CPA who specializes in serving the small business owner and advising on acquisitions and divestitures. Joe will be followed by Mr. Justin M. Klein,a partner in the law firm of Marks and Klein based in Red Bank, who specializes in franchise matters.
